Blue Parrot Hotels Open in Playa del Carmen |

Last night the Blue Parrot Hotels became the Pied Piper of Playa del Carmen boasting a parade of drummers and dancers down 5th Avenue. As the crowd swelled they made their way toward the beach, and into the Blue Parrot, pulling swarms of people in with it. The Blue Parrot was back in full swing last night showing that Hurricane Wilma is no match for Playa del Carmen...
Fire dancers, drum troops, and colorful characters stormed in around 11 PM and the dancing and festivities went well into the night. The Blue Parrot hotels, a long time trademark of Playa del Carmen, has set the precedent for life after Hurricane Wilma. The corner from 1st to the beach was re-opened where raucous laughter and activity spilled into the streets making the party goers have some sense of normalcy after such a tumultuous week. Beer was flowing, tunes were pumping, and everyone was happy that the Blue Parrot hotels were back in action!
